This garden features three smooth western red cedar beds, a custom built cedar retaining wall, and squirrel creek gravel to match the existing stonework. If you have some sort of irrigation system then great! Even if it’s an overhead sprinkler. But if you don’t, don’t sleep on it. We have one in our garden and it brings so much peace of mind. Add a timer and we don’t have to worry if our plants got watered, especially if we go out of town during the hot summer months. In our bio, there is a Linktree with links to the micro spray kit we have in our garden and the system we use in installs. There’s also the accessories like additional elbows/tees, timer, etc… It may only cost you around $200-$300 bucks for the materials and it’s easy to install. Summer planting is here! Yesterday tomatoes went in, mostly romas but some heirlooms like Cherokee purple and German Johnson. We planted some jalapeños and bell pepper. We also planted one yellow crookneck squash transplant. All of the plants were transplants by the way, not seeds. Over the next two weeks as space allows we will be planting cucumber, eggplant, winter squash, zucchini, more crookneck, butter beans, and green beans.
