All of our gardens and installs come with a one year workmanship guarantee. What this means is that if something should fail due to workmanship within one year, we will repair or replace.
Your success is important to us, that’s why after every install we answer any questions you may have, as well as teach an easy gardening method to use. We also offer email support and send you our gardening guide “Growing Vegetables in Piedmont NC”
Our typical lead time for a custom built garden is 3-4 weeks but depends on the scope. We receive many requests for consultations/installs during March and April and urge everyone considering working with us to contact us sooner than the spring planting season.
There are no guarantees on coloring of products. Natural forestry and stone products naturally vary. We do our best to be consistent.
If needed, it is the homeowners responsibility to call 811 before the install to check for underground utility lines.
We will ALWAYS choose to use organic compost or organic soil blends and sourcing will be determined by your address.
Bull City Gardens LLC is not responsible for any soil issues from purchased bulk soil or bagged. If issues arise, please contact us so we can direct you to the supplier.
We are a family owned small business and enjoy creating gardens for our clients. However, this isn’t our primary employment. Currently, consultations are done during the week and installs are performed Friday through Sunday.
Consultations can take anywhere from 15 minutes to 1.5 hours
Our current operating radius is 30 minutes from zip code 27705. Distances farther than 30 minutes are taken on a case by case basis.

Garlic is a very easy vegetable to grow and now is the time to plant!
Just separate the cloves and plant about 2” down and 6” away from another. You could probably space them even closer than that.

Now that Halloween is over, it’s time to wind down and enjoy the cooler weather and holidays!
In our garden we had many pest issues, large and small, so we powered down the garden for the fall.
By now though you should have already planted your fall garden. If you haven’t try throwing in some carrot seeds to over winter, or radishes and arugula for quick growers.
One thing you can and should plant is garlic. Now is the time and we will be planting plenty this year.

October season depends on you. You should have planted your fall crop already. If you haven’t, I would wrap it up and power down your garden for the fall unless you want to try a winter season.
Clean up. If you’re done growing, give the garden a good cleanup. You can also consider planting a cover crop.
It’s time to thin your carrots if you planted fall carrots.
You can plant shallots in October and fall onions.
Garlic coming up in November.
It’s been a wet and humid fall so far so I’d bet you may have had some fungus and pest issues. You can use BT powder for brassicas, and neem oil for everything else.
